- Why is my garbage disposal humming but not spinning?
- A humming disposal is usually jammed or has a failed motor. Turn it off to avoid overheating, then schedule service so we can clear the jam safely or quote replacement if the motor is damaged.
- Can you fix a leaking garbage disposal?
- Yes. Leaks can come from the sink flange, dishwasher connection, drain connection, side seam, or bottom seal. Some leaks are repairable; a bottom seal leak often means replacement is the better option.
- Why does my disposal reset button keep popping?
- The reset button trips when the motor overheats or pulls too much current. Common causes include jams, worn motor parts, electrical faults, or running the disposal under heavy load.
- Do you replace garbage disposals if repair is not worth it?
- Yes. If replacement is the better value, we explain why, quote the installation, and make sure the sink, drain, and dishwasher connection are set correctly.
